EXCELLENTBased on 87 reviewsVerifiedBarbara & Robert2023-10-01Feels like home Wir haben uns in Kirsty's Cottage vom ersten Moment an wohl gefühlt. Verifieddebs5420162023-07-08Beautiful cottage. Absolutely beautiful cottage, so well presented and maintained, the cottage had everything we needed and more! Fabulous views across the loch, we had a lovely relaxing stay. Thank you Dawn for such a perfect holiday.VerifiedRachel F2023-06-13Our happy place! Kirsty’s Cottage is absolutely gorgeous inside and out! Always so clean and homely. We love watching the seals through the telescope. This time we visited Edinbane Pottery, the newly renovated Talisker Distillery, the Isle of Raasay, and finally made it to the top of Storr!!VerifiedGRHog2023-06-04Beautiful cottage Kirsty's Cottage was perfect. Stunning view across the sea loch. We walked down to the shore and got really close to the seals. We saw (and heard!) snipe on the marsh. The cottage was well equipped and beautifully clean. We would book here again.VerifiedLynne B2022-10-03Beautiful second stay at Kirsty's Cottage Another perfect stay at Kirsty's Cottage, we wouldn't stay anywhere else on the island. Perfect for wildlife spotting, relaxing and walking.VerifiedNC2022-06-26Outstanding!! Our family of 4 people with 2 dogs stayed in this stunning cottage & loved it!! The scenery is spectacular & the cottage interior is beautiful. There is stunning artwork in the cottage & I managed to find a print of one of the paintings in a local gallery in Portree so I was delighted. Dawn the host is lovely. You will need a car to stay here - the cottage is around 5 miles down a windy road which takes around 15-20 mins to get to Portree. Well situated to see all the sites in Skye. Dog owners - be aware there are sheep everywhere & chickens at the bottom on the garden. Our spaniel had to remain on a lead but he still had a wonderful holiday. Thanks to Dawn for having us - definately recommend & we will be back!VerifiedApple10Perthshire2022-06-10Amazing cottage and location near Portree This cottage is so well equipped and so tastefully furnished even I was surprised. Nothing was left to chance and there is everything you could possibly need to make your stay perfect. The owners were lovely and welcoming. The views are amazing. There are seals at the bottom of the garden and you can watch the Raasay Ferry coming and going. The cottage is close to Portree and you can walk to Sligachan for a drink along the Loch side without even getting in a car. What’s not to like!! Congratulations to Dawn and Andy for creating such a stylish holiday let. !VerifiedDreamer094198126382022-06-06Wonderful cottage with scenic views and great walks. Highly recommend We loved every minute of our stay at Kirsty's Cottage which was very much a home from home. The sunroom is fantastic. We watched the seals on the loch and the Raasay ferry coming and going. The mountains in the distance were spectacular. It's quite a trek from the main road but all the better for the peace and quiet. Skye is very dog friendly and welcoming and there's plenty to see and do. Dawn was a fantastic host, helping us to make the best of our stay.VerifiedSaintSinner682021-09-15Home from home What a truly wonderful place to stay. This has to be the best equipped holiday home we have ever stayed in. Everything in the cottage was finished to such a high standard and we absolutely loved breakfasts and dinners in the sun-room with such an amazing view. The evening sunsets on the Cuillin hills were stunning and seeing the seals sunning themselves in the Loch below was something we enjoyed every evening, along with the Raasay ferry shuttling to and fro from the jetty opposite. Dawn and Andrew are great hosts and we had some lovely chats over the garden fence learning about the area and what to visit. The garden, with all it's birdlife, was perfect for our 2 labs as was the space in the cottage. On our way back from Harris & Lewis the following week we drove past Kirsty's on the other side of the loch and looking across to see our previous week's 'home' I had a lump in the throat such was the impression the cottage left on me. We will definitely return!VerifiedRachel F2021-08-22Yet another brilliant visit! We have been visiting Kirsty's Cottage for at least 17 years now! It would hard to find a more perfect spot due to the cottage’s location, views, hosts, style, comfort and cleanliness, not to mention the amazing wildlife and countless attractions on Skye and beyond. This time our favourite trip was to the neighbouring Isle of Raasay where we hiked, had lunch at Raasay House Hotel, toured the whiskey and gin distillery, and relaxed on an empty beach watching the clear sea and Cullins beyond before setting sail back to Skye. Already looking forward to our next visit!
